Employee of the Month: Mike Thornhill
Mike Thornhill is our September Employee of the Month and a first class Installer
This Meade County, Kentucky native moved to Franklin, Tennessee sixteen years ago. Quickly after his move, he started his Big Visual Group career.
Every morning, after Mike drops his youngest child off at school, he heads into the office to get his installation orders for the day. When Mike gets handed a job, he gets it done perfectly, no matter how challenging it might be. He said, “I do whatever the customer wants. I am the can-do boy. There’s nothing I can’t do!” This guy takes particular pride in doing a lot of elevated installations, like high-hanging movie posters surrounding a theater. What a dare devil!
“It’s always an adventure when I hop in my truck every day at work. You never know what is up next,” said Mike. As a sixteen year veteran of Big Visual Group, Mike attributes the longevity of his stay to the joy he feels when working on the variety of jobs that come through the door. He is also a big fan of his “boss man Scott Snoyer.”
Chris Taylor who is a friend of Mike’s and a Laminator on our team spoke very highly of him. Mr. Taylor said, “Mike knows what he’s doing, and he’s a great guy to work with — he calls everyone ‘buddy’ at work. That man plays a big part in all of the things Big Visual Group does around town!”
When Mike is not at work, his time is spent with his two sons, James Ray and Kody. Kody is a part of our production team now, working as an Installer. We sure are lucky to have two hardworking Thornhill guys doing great, quality work for our customers!
