Job Summary

Big Visual Group is seeking a Paint Technician to join our architectural signage department. We are looking to hire someone with at least 1 year of experience in painting that has a positive attitude with good work ethics to help us achieve our goals as a company. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Responsibilities and Duties

The ideal candidate would have 2+ years of experience in painting in a production environment. Ideal candidates will have the ability to prime and paint various substrates. Knowledge of Pantone color matching is a plus. Experience with various forms of painting is a plus. Candidates will be expected to maintain a clean work area. Candidates will be required to prep material for painting, maintain paints, mix paint formulas, and keep tools clean and organized. Candidates will be asked to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

Required Qualification:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Legal U.S. Citizenship
• Tennessee Driver’s License or Equivalent
• Able to Work Over-Time if Needed

• 1+ Years of Experience in Painting

• Ability to Lift and Carry at Least 50 lbs.

• Experience with Matthews Paint Systems
• Matthews Paint Certification
• Experience with Painting Several Material Types
• Experience with Latex Paints
• 2-5 Years Experience in Painting Signs & Displays

Under the direction of a Design Manager, the Print Designer will work on projects that create and prepress engaging and informative print and marketing materials while cleverly solving problems for our clients. We have a full-time design department with a multi-disciplinary team of designers ready to collaborate. We are looking for a highly proactive individual that is ready to stretch their abilities and help grow our team.

Position Requirements

• A minimum of three (3) years of print design and pre-press experience in a large format/sign environment
• Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong graphic communication principles, typography, and information hierarchy understanding
• Positive attitude that promotes a great work environment
• Demonstrate and employ an understanding of measuring and accurate template creation for physical structures (walls, building elevations, vehicles, etc.)
• A self-starter
• Ability to learn and be taught new processes
• Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others
• Easily discuss ideas, issues, and potential solutions with clients and co-workers
• Punctual, dependable, and ability to work overtime as needed
• Strong attention to detail and organization with effective prioritization of multiple concurrent projects
• Adaptable to team’s needs and willingness to help with the department’s overall workload

Additional experience that would great:

• A degree in graphic design
• Sketching/rendering skills
• Architectural and/or 3D design skills
