Paint Technician / Painter

Job Summary
Big Visual Group is seeking a paint technician to join our architectural signage department. We are wanting to find someone with at least one year of experience in painting that has a positive attitude with good work ethic to help us achieve our goals as a company.

Responsibilities and Duties
Candidates will need have the ability to prime and paint various substrates in a fast-paced professional sign fabricating facility. Candidates will be expected to maintain a clean work area. Candidates will be required to prep material for painting, maintain paints, mix paint formulas, and keep tools clean and organized. Candidates will be asked to work overtime as needed. The ideal candidate would have 2+ years of experience in painting in a production environment. Knowledge of Pantone color matching is a plus. Experience with various forms of painting is a plus.

Qualifications and Skills
Required Qualification:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Legal U.S. Citizenship
  • Tennessee Driver’s License or Equivalent
  • Able to Work Over-Time if Needed

Required Skills:

  • 1+ Years of Experience in Painting
  • Dependability and Attendance
  • High Attention to Details
  • Ability to Work in Fast-Paced Work Environments
  • Ability to Lift and Carry at Least 50 lbs.
  • Works Well Alone and in a Team

  • Computer Literacy

Production Team / Sign Fabrication

Job Summary
Big Visual Group is seeking a sign fabricator to join our architectural signage department. We are wanting to find someone with at least one year of experience in sign making/fabrication that has a positive attitude with good work ethic to help us achieve our goals as a company.

Responsibilities and Duties
Our production team members are responsible for various aspects of sign and print production. With a multi-technology environment, the production team must work together with other departments and communicate throughout the day to achieve the same goals. Experience in the sign and print industry is required.

This position involves working with an X-Acto knife and other sharp instruments as well as the possibility of working with and/or operating specialized fabrication tools and machinery such as: welders, saws, drills, CNC machines, etc.

Common tasks include: sanding, cleaning, and prepping sign materials for painting, sign assembly, packaging, taping, wrapping for shipping. Production must conduct quality assurance and follow best practice efficiencies to ensure the highest quality product for customers.

Front Desk Coordinator

The job description is below:

  • Answer the phone and operate the phone system in a professional and effective manner.
  • Scan, email and file documents, work orders, estimates, invoices, photos, etc., as needed.
  • Serve as first sales contact for new walk-in and telephone customers and understand the sales process enough to consult with customers to determine project needs, provide recommendations and quotes, and assist customers with order process.
  • Assist the sales team as needed; contacting customers when orders are ready for pickup, posting payments to customer accounts, labeling and mailing marketing materials and follow-up letters when requested.
  • Input data, fax, mail, copy and file. Manage incoming fax/emails and redirect to appropriate staff member.
  • Support office manager with reports, close-out, invoices, and daily, monthly and yearly paperwork.
  • Work on different projects simultaneously.
  • Have a positive attitude that promotes a great work environment.
  • Ability to understand verbal and/or read written instructions.
  • Computer literate.
  • Dependable and punctual.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

Sales Project Manager 

Requiring foundational knowledge of materials and processes in the signage and print industry, applicants must have at least one year of experience. Environmental Designer 

We are not currently hiring an Environmental Designer but we always keep our eyes open for talented candidates should an opening arise.

Under the direction of our Creative Manager, the position would collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team of designers on projects that enhance human experiences and create engaging and inviting environments while cleverly solving problems for our clients. We would want a highly proactive individual that is ready to stretch their abilities and help grow our team.

What You Need for this Position

  • A minimum of three years experience and knowledge of:
    • Adobe Creative Suite with a HEAVY emphasis on Photoshop
    • 3D graphic concept work (specifically Fusion 360)
    • Environmental graphics
  • Strong graphic communication principles, typography, and information hierarchy
  • Ability to engineer structural displays
  • Strong understanding of material and hardware knowledge
  • Solid understanding of collegiate type graphics
