Press Operator

Big Visual Group, Nashville’s premier sign and print provider, seeks an experienced Small Format Press Operator and Finisher to join our production team. The ideal candidate would have 2+ years of experience. Employees in our print department are integral to the success of our business and only the most qualified candidates will be considered.

Requirements:

  • 2 years experience operating a small format printer/copier
  • Knowledge of RIP software (i.e. Onyx, Caldera, Fiery, etc.)
  • Ability to preflight files for press
  • Knowledge of small format bindery/finishing and bindery/finishing equipment
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
  • Consistently meet all print deadlines
  • Have a positive attitude that promotes a healthy work environment
  • Ability to understand verbal and/or read written instructions
  • Computer literacy
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • US work authorization
  • High school or equivalent

ABOUT THE POSITION
For our Sales Project Manager position we are looking for a candidate with a few years of experience in the signage or print industry in order to have a foundational knowledge of materials and processes — and, of course, we are here to fill in those knowledge gaps! Proactive and good communication are a must as you will be emailing with and talking to clients and providing critical project details for our internal teams. You will assist the sales team with order entry, project tracking and updating, and by helping to fulfill client requests and inquiries.

This is a full-time position with a base salary plus a commission based on your Sales Teams’ performance. We offer paid holidays, PTO, Health, Vision, and Dental insurance, 401K, and many other perks!

Production Team / Sign Fabrication

Job Summary
Big Visual Group is seeking a sign fabricator to join our architectural signage department. We are wanting to find someone with at least one year of experience in sign making/fabrication that has a positive attitude with good work ethic to help us achieve our goals as a company.

Responsibilities and Duties
Our production team members are responsible for various aspects of sign and print production. With a multi-technology environment, the production team must work together with other departments and communicate throughout the day to achieve the same goals. Experience in the sign and print industry is required. This position involves working with an X-Acto knife and other sharp instruments as well as the possibility of working with and/or operating specialized fabrication tools and machinery such as: welders, saws, drills, CNC machines, etc.

Common tasks include: sanding, cleaning, and prepping sign materials for painting, sign assembly, packaging, taping, wrapping for shipping. Production must conduct quality assurance and follow best practice efficiencies to ensure the highest quality product for customers.

Qualifications and Skills

Required Qualification:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Legal U.S. Citizenship
  • Tennessee Driver’s License or Equivalent
  • Able to Work Over-Time if Needed

Required Skills:

  • 1+ Years of Experience in Sign/Print Industry

Paint Technician / Painter

Job Summary
Big Visual Group is seeking a paint technician to join our architectural signage department. We are wanting to find someone with at least one year of experience in painting that has a positive attitude with good work ethic to help us achieve our goals as a company.

Candidates will need to have the ability to prime and paint various substrates in a fast-paced professional sign fabricating facility. Candidates will be expected to maintain a clean work area. Candidates will be required to prep material for painting, maintain paints, mix paint formulas, and keep tools clean and organized. Candidates will be asked to work overtime as needed. The ideal candidate would have 2+ years of experience in painting in a production environment. Knowledge of Pantone color matching is a plus. Experience with various forms of painting is a plus.

An Installer is responsible for the installation of signs like the below:

  • Cut Vinyl
  • Large Format Printing
  • Laser and Rotary Engraving
  • Dimensional Routing
  • Painting

With a multi-technology environment, installers must work together with production and sales as a team and communicate throughout the day to achieve the same goals. An Installer must conduct quality assurance and follow best practice efficiencies to ensure the highest quality product for customers.
