Employee of the Month: Kalen Payne
We’re excited to announce that our April 2017 Employee of the Month is Kalen Payne!
Kalen is a man of many trades, but he specifically bears the title of Finisher, working in the produc- tion area of the Big Visual Group warehouse. Among Kalen’s main responsibilities include deliveries, quality control, and making sure equipment and supplies are clean and put in the proper place. Kalen is a proud Nashville native, born and raised in the Hermitage area, and he has no plans to leave anytime soon!
When it comes to a typical day on the job for Kalen, he says every day is always different. In addition to his regular job responsibilities, Kalen enjoys learning new things and re-learning how to do old tasks in new and better ways. He says,“I’m always learning new stuff. I recently learned how to do laminating and how to work the RF welder, which is a tool for welding banners.” Kalen has always been curious about how things work, which drives his desire for learning and being better on the job.

Kalen enjoys working on a variety of tasks, but he especially enjoys making his clients happy. He says, “I like completing my work, and then seeing the smiles on clients’ faces, knowing that we did something at Big Visual Group that made their day.” Even more, Kalen says working at Big Visual Group is a great experience all around. “I like the environment here. It’s a place where people care about their work and the people they work for,” Kalen affirms.
Beyond the office, Kalen is an avid video gamer. You’ll also find Kalen working out and watch- ing movies in his spare time. One interesting fact about Kalen is that he loves astronomy. “I used to study a lot about planets and star formation. We’re all born as scientists, and it’s up to everyone to always look for the creativity involved with how things are made,” he says.
With Kalen’s kind and positive attitude, it’s obvious why his coworkers voted for him to re- ceive this month’s Employee of the Month honor. He’s grateful to Big Visual Group for giving him the opportunity to be a part of the amazing team!
