An Inside Look Into the Installation Process

Efficiency & Accountability

For a task that seems like it would require a lot of hands, Big Visual’s install team is surprisingly small – just six people. And that’s the way they like it.

These guys are professionals who have been trained to work well together, and each is well rounded and exceptional at their craft. Everyone on the team knows a little bit of everything about the various steps involved in an installation, which creates natural accountability and efficiency.

Most of the members of the install team have an artistic background, several in both graphics and studio art. This background helps them approach the installation process with patience and a steady hand, which is ideal, considering the detailed logistics involved in a visual installation.

This team of installation experts tackles a wide range of projects, including vehicle wraps, ADA signage, wall wraps, and large-scale exterior signage.

No Job Too Big or Too Small

Right now, they’re installing several new products in the Nissan Stadium during the Titans’ off-season. This includes updating the Titans’ parking lot signs that hang on the light poles, as well as installing various wall wraps to be featured inside the facility. They’re even preparing the field for next season, installing a banner that will wrap around its entire perimeter. They’re also planning to install tunnel covers that will showcase the Titans when they run onto the field during the 2016-17 season. The install team is very proud of its rebranding work with Nissan Stadium and considers it an honor to help Titans fans make vivid game day memories.

But football isn’t the only sport they’re pros at; Big Visual’s install team also works closely with the Nashville Predators hockey team. Many times these projects entail installing large-format exterior banners on downtown buildings. The banners are often screwed into the building, but sometimes the team will build and install custom frames for vinyl signage as well.

Teamwork Works

The install team may be small, but it delivers — big time. Once the art and dimensions have been approved, installation usually happens within a week. This is because everyone on the install team gets to play up his or her strengths.

Some team members prefer scaling heights and installing from up top. Others may prefer the meticulous work of applying vinyl. No matter the task, every member is put in a position where they thrive. They know what will look the best and who will be the best for each role in the installation process. This is crucial, because being able to do the install correctly the first time allows the whole project to move more efficiently.

At Big Visual, our sales consultants take great care to walk clients through their product options and help them decide on what will best fit their need. Even if a client doesn’t know exactly what they want when they contact Big Visual, the sales consultants have an idea of what would look the best, what they’d be most pleased with, and how to make it happen from design to installation.
