Employee of the Month: Michael Frederick
Two-time Honoree
Michael Frederick, Big Visual Group’s Senior Graphic Designer, is no stranger to being Employee of the Month. This is his second time receiving this honor!
Michael was raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, but has been in Nashville for 22 years. He is an unofficial local now! His move to Nashville was sparked by a few different events. A master at playing the drums, this guy is talented in more areas than just graphic design. Michael studied drums in Los Angeles, then found himself in Music City honing his musical talents. While his full-time job is now in the design department at Big Visual Group, he still rocks out behind his kit with NightWind, a country band based in Middle Tennessee.

Michael’s career in the print and signage industry started at Precision Sign Works in 2004. Once this company merged with Big Visual Group, he happily joined our team in 2010. When talking about his job duties, Michael described his main responsibility as “taking people’s artwork and getting them ready to go through our technology in the most efficient way possible.” He is very devoted to making sure his customer’s jobs get done extremely well, and he takes pride in the work he does every day. As a drummer, Michael especially gets excited when he gets to work on music-based clients, like the Musician’s Hall of Fame and Museum. He also takes great pride in seeing his work displayed at a Nashville Sounds or Predators game.
“The thing I like most about working here is the technology and forward thinking of our owner, Scott Snoyer. He is always ahead of the curve and willing to take risks to try the best technology,” said Michael when talking about his job. “I love working with these people. The camaraderie spreads around the whole shop!”
Michael is particularly proud to be a member of our talented design department. He said, “Everyone has an awareness and concern for what our department needs to be doing everyday. Everybody has their own innate sense to strive to get their work done on their own and also offer to help each other. You don’t find that all of the time, but with this special group of people, it’s definitely here.”
